Product updates

What has changed in the service: new ways to get your figures in, new reports we can read, and improvements to how your German VAT return reaches the Finanzamt.

We only list changes that affect what you can do. Fixes and behind-the-scenes work are not here, and neither is anything that changes what you pay, which we would always tell you directly.

10 August 2026Your account

Your accountant can be copied on everything

If someone else does your bookkeeping, you no longer have to forward things by hand. Add up to five extra email addresses to your account and everything we send goes to them as well as you: deadline reminders, filing confirmations, and any document we upload for you, including Finanzamt letters and assessments. They receive copies only, so there is no second login and nothing they can change. You stay the account owner and you decide who is on the list, and we email you whenever it changes so you always know who is copied.

OSS can now be booked on its own

Until now the quarterly One-Stop-Shop (OSS) return was an add-on to our German VAT service. If your German VAT is already handled elsewhere and you only need the OSS side, you can now book just that: same service, same price (€300 one-time setup, then €200 per quarter).

Any Finanzamt letter, read for you in seconds, free

Photograph or upload a letter from the German tax office (Finanzamt) and you get an instant English read: what kind of letter it is, what it says, and every deadline and euro amount it names. We now read lexoffice, sevDesk and DATEV exports

Until now you could upload an Amazon VAT Transactions Report or an easybill Rechnungsausgangsbuch and we would fill your figures in from it. That now works with any DATEV-format export, which is what lexoffice, sevDesk, easybill and most German bookkeeping tools produce.

If you keep your books in one of those, you can export the Buchungsstapel for the month, drop it into your filing screen, and your figures are filled in for you instead of typed by hand.

Your uploaded figures are now yours to edit

When you upload a report, the figures we read from it now appear as an editable draft rather than a finished answer. Every line can be changed, each one shows where it came from, and the return total updates as you type.

This matters more than it sounds. A report only knows about the channel it came from. If you also sell through your own shop, or you moved stock into Germany, or you paid import VAT, none of that is in the file, and now you can add it in the same place instead of starting over. What you confirm is exactly what we file.

A report we cannot read no longer stops you

If we cannot read a file, you now go straight to entering your figures yourself and we file those. Previously an unreadable export was a dead end.
